Around here you have to fight the ever-present boredom with creativity. It all started about a year or two ago (I forget) when I borrowed my father’s 8mm camcorder, which he would say that I practically own it now, and gathered my friends in front of it. The first shoots were, in retrospect, horrible but we had fun. I’ve had the chance to use it more now and it is becoming more natural. The shoots got better and the individuals who really enjoyed it, for the most part, stuck around and the others show up occasionally to help us out. It takes a lot out of you to record, edit, engineer, and visualize a piece solely on your own so it’s good to have friends who are interested as well.
