ABOUT

This is the follow up album to "Lo-Fi Series," which was released at the beginning of the year 2000. The previous record was recorded entirely on a Tascam analogue 4-track. All but four songs on Persona were created using DigiDesign's ProTools software running on an Apple Macintosh.
These songs were recorded over a period of a year and a half. The last eight months of production were more strenuous and focused.

The previous band I was in had just gotten back from its second trip to Florida fulfilling a demo deal with Atlantic Records and they wanted to hear more. So, with my 4-track I laid down "Kill Your Sefl (Please)," "We Walk On Eggshells," and "Get To You." Much later, before the ProTools era, I laid down "Disconnected" and "God Spent All His Time On You" and was then finally through with the crippling device - although I'm glad I was subjected to it. The rest was a constant learning experience using the new software of which I had gotten a taste for in Florida. I now had access to more tracks and what seemed like unlimited options compared to the 4-track.

I would love to know when I began what I know now, but this is somewhat universal. If I had it all to do over again I would only change one thing... that one thing would be me.
