Thumb Club was created out of a love for Fight Club. It only exists because I happened to come upon a dark, dank room that was too close to Lou's Tavern not to take advantage of it. A couple of days went into writing and drawing storyboards which I then took to Scott and Matt. With their added input and enthusiasm we began planning to shoot. I'm proud to say that this production went smoother than any other simply because of better preplanning. It only took one month of shooting on weekends to complete principle photography.
We spent a good while trying to find locations that were similar to the film. We then tried to match the composition of each shot as much as we could. There are numerous, small details that were added to the shots to help create the total feel of Fight Club.

This video is the first of ours to have cinematography credits. We experimented a lot with lighting and for the most part got what we wanted. We learned a great deal in the process and that's what it's all about. Lou's Tavern alone took us about 7 hours to prepare.

It was shot with a SONY Digital8 camcorder and edited on a G4 Macintosh. Editing took around five days. It was then compressed using QuickTime 4. We hope you enjoy.
