This project was a definite side project to the rest of our on-goings but we had fun doing it none the less. The preproduction for this was a conversation between Matt and I the night before we shot it. The plan was simple - to entertain ourselves for the afternoon by going around town and getting girls to reject us on tape (this was obviously going to be easy).
It was shot in the Summer of 1999 using a Digital8 Sony camcorder. I didn't want to use a tripod to give it that documentary look and also chose to use the slow shutter option to enhance that as well. It was edited on a Macintosh G4 and compressed with Quicktime.
This piece is true spontaneity. There was no script or preplanned actors besides the two of us. My brother lent his hand at the camera when we couldn't and even he was brought along at the last minute. This had every reason to go horribly and to become just another camera exercise for us, but with a little editing and some music I thought it worthy of putting up. We hope you enjoy...
