This short movie started very simply. First off, the idea came from Anthony Washington in real life. He's a silly person and that's his charm. He decided that 1996 was better for him than the present. So, he claimed he invented time travel. Skipping past the absurdity of that, weeks and weeks later I was looking at new green screen keying software. I was also wanting to see how my SONY HDV Z1U camera would respond to the process. There's more on that in the forum here. Using Keylight in After Effects I was able to pull pretty decent keys with the HDV footage. After shrinking it down for DV it looks broadcast-worthy.
So, this project really was just a test that took me a solid week to shoot and put together. It was all done very quickly. After doing so much screen work on SW: A Lost Hope I was hoping the end product would look better and it does.
