Episode 3 Parody FEEDBACK
Nah. The theatre was pretty empty around us, and only people in our general couple row vicinity would probably hear it. He didn't yell it obnoxiously loud. I want to go with someone who will, though.
Actually, now that I think about it, I was laughing so hard I wouldn't have heard anyone else laugh. So who knows?

A local pie factory has exploded! Dozens are injured! But - it is raining pie.

my problem was that i forgot i was the only one who's seen the parody out of my friends (well i showed one, but he was like "yeeeeah.....kinda funny" - damn him!) So when i said "im preggers" everyone kinda looked down on me lol

My friend told me about this Star Wars Parody and being the SW fan that I am, I had to check it out, and add it to my collection of SW movies, like the amazing Star Wars Holiday Special from the 70's. Anyways, long story short, that was the most amazing, funny, well-put together 6 minutes I've ever seen in my life!!!!! I was in tears and had to stop it a few times before i could finish it (I couldn't see though the spazmic laughter and the pain in the back of my head from freaking out so hard.
I would seriously love to see it on DVD, hell, if they can put HardWare Wars out on DVD, you definatly should make that.. I'd buy it in a heartbeat.... Seriously.. how much.. I want one..
Thanks

Ok, how about you give them away for free, but ask for a donation??! I'm sure there's some way around it.. :)

I saw the making of of TLH and it's a golden mine!
A really well-made one, with nothing boring... Chapeau bas!!
It is in those moments that I realised that i would be difficult to make those sort of movies (with green screens, etc)... You guys have got so much thing! I think I'll pass by Mc Comb one day, with a decent scenario and a producer to meet... ^^
Or find here... Possible but difficult...
I have got the ideas, but not the means...

Let's go back to work!!!

Great work guys, really great. Scripting is great, and well observed. There are good performances from everybody, expecially Anakin and Palpatine.
I've just finished watching a different fan film, by different producers, called Formula - Enriched, over at:
http://www.theforce.net/fanfilms/shortf ... /index.asp
Bobba Fett, and the dream sequence, are hilarious. Check it out and you'll see what I mean.
The reason I'm bringing it up here is that I'm hoping it will give you food for thought about how you could develop yourselves. The film is good because it's funny without being a parody (well, except perhaps a parody on fan films), and it "works" as an idea. They've taken the idea of yet another cliched light sabre fight and made it funny.
The film is long, at 51 mins - and is way longer than any of SP's productions. I think that this is something for you to think about: how to stretch your ideas from 7 mins of quick-fire gags to something more fleshed out as a story. Near the beginning of Formula, for example, is a shot where a guy paints a Leia figure. Now, there's nothing dramatic or funny about this, it's just a guy painting a Leia figure. Think about this. An editor was sitting down, going through the footage, and deciding whether a guy painting a figure served any purpose in his film. He eventually decided to put it in. The shot took nothing away from the film. Now, would you have had a guy painting a figurine in your film (OK, I'm not talking about figurines or painting per se, I'm just using it as a metaphor)?
I'm not suggesting you make a 50 min film - but I think you might like to try you hand at say a 20 - 30 min film (even if it's a bridge to doing a longer piece). I'm sure you'd do a really great job of it.
Anyway, just food for thought. I'm not trying to take anything away from you guys you understand - SWE3 was a really great job!

In reply to page1's (yeah, sorry, I'm new) remark about "sometimes small things can make you laugh" ... I die everytime Obee says "Whoo!" during the "pee-on-this" ... the face! the beard! the bottle ... and then : "Whoo!" ... awesome
My friends are going nuts ... whenever they say something, I go "Whoo!" à la Obee-Wan Kanobi.
I'll think of more later ... oh yes, here's another one ... "complete!" by Palpy ... but not only the face, but really the intonation ... first part of the word : "Keh-mplete" ... brilliantly said ... "héhé, Keh-mplete"

Great piece of work here.
Julian, that was one of my favorite parts too, but then again, I thought the whole thing was so funny, I could say the whole thing was my favorite parts. :P

Blippy, Glitch in the Matrix was 15 minutes and Inside Sequential Pictures is a few over 20. The internet is better suited usually for smaller pieces. I've created an hour long documentary and put it on DVD. So, it's not that SP isn't capable, it's just not what I'm trying to do right now. Although, me and a couple of friends are writing a feature length script.

Since this thread has been around for awhile I'll drop http://www.endangeredmeat.com on here. People who liked the irreverence of A Lost Hope might enjoy the thick sarcasm of this new commercial I just completed.

I have a question.
In the bloopers the Yoda blooper has someone saying (in Yoda voice) "and sometimes three". This little half-line cracks us up and we quote it all the time. We would love to know what was being said in full.
Thanks.

LOL...
Oh man. We are still laughing. "Always 2...and sometimes 3". We have used that "and sometimes 3" so many times, thank you for adding an extra dimension to an already obscure line.
BTW, that's yes ma'am, not sir.

the "pee-on-this" reminds me of Austin Powers's "Evacuation complete". I know Mike Myers wasn't the first one to use a long pee-scene (Naked Gun was first), but Myers also used a funny voice. Or did you guys get the inspiration elsewhere?

Honestly, we didn't liken it to any previous scene. We just thought it was funny, that's all. It wasn't the most original thing in the world, but it didn't stem from anything else.
