A movie quotes guessing thread.

Postby grizzly69 » March 1st, 2005, 2:27 am

I thought it may be interesting to test people's movie trivia knowledge with a "Guess the Movie Quote" thread. Are you game?

Let's try to keep the movies from being too obscure.

I'll start, of course:

"And that's the way the cookie crumbles!"
Whatever you do, don't read this!

Jim carrey in --- bruce Almighty

I am assuming the first person who guesses it right, gets to start the next one.. so here it goes..

This is such an easy one , you could guess it with your eyes shut, but its one of my most favoriteo ones i like to act out and quote.

" what the hell that mean, China is here ? ,. I dont even know what the hell that means, All i know is this lopan character shows up in the middle of a G-Damn Alley , while his buddies are flying around on wires ripping everybody to shreds, while he just stands there waiting for me to drive my truck straight through him.. . WIth light coming out of his mouth !!! "
Tada !!

too much quote...made it too easy. :) just seeing lopan in there makes me scream "Big Trouble in Little China"

Well this one may be obscure to some but I have seen this movie so much that this line pops in my head.

"Badgers?! We don't need no stinking badgers!"

I believe it is that Weird Al movie "UHF" if that is the entire title.

I'm assuming I am right, so here goes:

"The slow blade penetrates the shield."

This happens to be a movie attempt at my favorite book. The movie is no where near as good as the book (I have tons of book quotes but not many made it into the movie)

Easy one to start off with, "I want you to hit me as hard as you can."

Well, it's in the book and the movie, so being on multiple media formats, I give more credence to the Chuck Palahniuk inspired movie.

The Boondock Saints.

My quote is from my all-time favorite movie:

Character 1: "How do I look?"
Character 2: "Like a hood ornament!"

The Rocketeer was your favorite all-time movie?

Here's one from one of my favorite movies:

Character1: ... entirely without incident.
Technician: Oh... shit!
Uebermensch: No. Not without incident.

Of course, better movies have been made, but as far as a movie that gave me thrilling feelings growing up, which still entertains me to this very day, it'd be the Rocketeer. Hey, it's hard to pick a favorite, but that one's very dear to me. (sniffle)

I think you're going for the line from The Phantom

but that goes:
"History is about to be made and you're all a part of it. Not an equal part, of course, but an important part nonetheless."

Here's one from another of my favorite movies:

Main character: "Nah - calling it your job don't make it right, Boss."

No, it's not. Here's a special quote just for you:

"Condors! Condors are on the verge of extinction! If I were to create a flock of condors on this island, you wouldn't have anything to say!"

Is it only for MagicHat?

I know the movie, but I will wait for MagicHat to give it a try.

The reason I haven't continued the thread is, I have no idea what movie MagicHat quoted.

Have I typed MagicHat's name enough times?
