I had the idea the other day to try and distribute the original SP DVD from back in 2004 in the form of a burnable DVD image file. If anyone can download this torrent and help seed the file that'd be great. I'm working on a second disc that includes everything from 2005 to present, and I'd love to offer that one too on the site. Both will be about 4.1 gigs.
If someone has a problem connecting then let me know. I'm still new to this. I'm using uTorrent with DHT, Local Peer Discovery, and Peer Exchange enabled.

Here's the second disc I whipped up in iDVD with a collection from 2005 through 2010. It's another burnable .ISO image file.

Re: SP DVD Torrent
Using uTorrent to seed these two large files. I spent hours last night reading, testing settings and connections, but the upload speed varies greatly. I'm hoping that once I get a full version out somewhere that it'll speed up. Please be patient and please seed for as long as you can.

Re: SP DVD Torrent
My connection seemed to be severely crippled the last few days, but it's doing better today for some reason. I did change a lot of settings in uTorrent and on my Linksys router, but I really feel like it was a server issue. Anyway, connection isn't great but definitely better at the moment.

Re: SP DVD Torrent
I've uploaded more than 20 gigs myself. Any success story of someone being able to download a whole disc and burn it would make me feel better - considering I'm still new to this torrent thing. Thanks for seeding for a bit, peeps.

Re: SP DVD Torrent
I was able to download 2005-2010. Works perfectly.
I get a "bad data from tracker - bad bencoded data" with 1999-2004 though.
Big thanks for putting these up!

...Are you seriously trying to turn that into a racist statement? Seriously?

Re: SP DVD Torrent
Good to hear the 2005-2010 iso works.
The bad tracker message I don't quite understand. Were you able to download it at all?
Anyone else able to burn the 99-04 disc yet?
Also, Dennisik, what torrent client are you using? I'm using uTorrent with DHT and Peer Discovery enabled.
Here are some trackers I have for it:
http://tracker.thepiratebay.org/announce
http://denis.stalker.h3q.com:6969/announce
http://www.sumotracker.com/announce

Re: SP DVD Torrent
I wasn't able to download a single byte.
I'm using BitTornado.
I think I know what the problem is. BitTornado seems to show that message mainly with torrents that have Pirate Bay trackers. I'll try using a different client, and let you know what happens.

Oh, didn't know that was a hinderance to some programs. I used Pirate Bay because it's pretty reliable and popular. Something to think about next time, I guess. Is it possible to manually remove the Bay tracker from the list? Would it go then?

Re: SP DVD Torrent
Yeah, I would think so. I tried using uTorrent to see if there would be any progress. It downloaded perfectly, so that was definitely the problem.
Seeding now.
Side-note, It's great seeing these videos in a better resolution. Thanks for all the hard work!

Re: SP DVD Torrent
Well, I had a situation where I didn't have any more SP DVDs and couldn't find a backup of it. It freaked me out for a moment. I still haven't found the DVD Studio Pro file for SP DVD 1. So all that made me re-evaluate, and I thought torrent would be perfect. I didn't know what a torrent even was when I made the original disc back in '04.
So, then I decided to quickly make an updated disc 2 and torrent it as well. It all took some time to build, fig out, and test before I released the ISO images.
Glad someone is enjoying them.

Hey NT,

Excellent. Great to hear, thanks. I'm out of town at the moment, but left my computer seeding. Before I left I had uploaded over 50 gigs between the two torrents. I salute the long-term seeders!
