Yeah, there is a price drop coming in the next few months. The graphics chip (GPU) is being changed from 95nm to 65nm process, which basically means they are making it smaller to reduce heat and loudness.

picked up a Pro with GTA4 at Game Stop. Got a $50 gift card from them for buying both and used it to get Burnout Paradise and the wife a game (Oblivion).

Everything I found about the "rumored" price drop showed it going to about $299 from the $349...so I decided waiting for a $50 difference was not something I wanted to do.

Gears 2 is coming soon-ish...I think. Right now I'm all over the Call of Duty 4 and Bionic Commando: Rearmed.

Finally played COD4 this weekend. Got it from Gamefly on Sat and finished up the single player game yesterday. Short but very fun. Now I need to give some multiplayer a try and see how bad I get pwned.

Recently played Alone in the Dark and Bioshock. Bioshock was all I expected from the reviews and loved it. Alone in the Dark...well...it could have been so much more. Had some neat stuff in it but so many things that turned me off and could have been done differently or just not put in the game.

Off-topic in this thread, but how is that movie coming along N.T.?

I thought the premise of it was cool. But it seemed like a challenge to pull off.

Played for the first time online the other night. 4-5 maps...i did ok on a few...great one 1 using the heavy machine gun and sucked bad on 1. It was a blast though and enjoyed it a lot until the last map when a couple of annoying "kids" were playing.

Enjoyed the single player part of the game a lot too even though it was very short....like all the other CoD games.

Most of the friends that were playing CoD4 a few weeks ago before I got it from Gamefly are now playing Madden.

I can't stand the multiplayer sometimes; everyone is following "trends" on it, if that sounds believable at all.

I was really good at CoD4 online. It got to the point I would finish first on my team every map.

I played CoD4 for like a month after it was released. Then I got bored, and moved onto to another game. I forgot which one. I think it was WoW.

Played it all day Sunday...once I got home with it. Finished up Mass Effect yesterday so I could send it back to Gamefly and then played some Mercs2 for about 2 hours before a mission pissed me off and I stopped playing.

I haven't had a chance to pick up my copy of Mercs 2 yet. I've been insanely busy over the past week.

I've heard mixed reviews. Some people like it...others hate it. I'm wondering if it's worth the 60 dollars...?

Did you like the first one? Pretty much this is the same game but prettier in my opinion. When big things explode you giggle...and then go do it again.

I did not play last night so I have not gotten any further in. Decided to take a break from XBOX and played some poker online and then did some coding for a friend's site. Not sure what I was thinking since I spend all day at the office doing HTML and PHP.

Yeah I loved the first one, which is why I was very much looking forward to Mercs 2. However, one of my good friends also loved the first one and he claims he doesn't like the second one.

Yeah I am waiting for my friend to get his PC copy from Amazon today so he can try it tonight and give me the scoop. He has been going on about the game for months now. Was worried over the weekend when he read some of these mixed reviews and called me. Everything I complained about he said was something that was in the first game so I don't see why he won't love it. I just want to play multiplayer but the two friends I know that bought it got it for the PC.

The video I saw looked very good as far as atmosphere and graphics go, but the gameplay seemed repetitive and uninteresting. I just didn't know if there was more to it than running through dank environments and dismembering enemies.

Played Dead Space and *I* liked it a lot. Very enjoyable and had some good moments. Fallout 3 is being played now.

Fallout didn't interest me. A friend is letting me borrow Dead Space "on down the line," and I'll see what it's about then. Of course, I picked up Gears 2 at midnight. I've been too busy with my movie to get through the story yet, but we play Horde and multi every couple nights. I wish I could play more.

Fallout 3 = Oblivion with the Fallout setting.

Doubt I will finish it just like I have yet to finish Oblivion. It has been fun but it is just a lot of game.
