Yeah, I've got to agree with N.T. on Southland Tales. I really liked Donnie Darko, but I think Richard Kelly fell flat on his face with this one. Don't get me wrong, I'm a fan of the weird and the offbeat. Southland just didn't work for me.

The best movie I have watched in the recent weeks is "The Warlords", starring Jet Li.
A truly epic movie.

My sister and I saw Street Kings.
I thought it was a good action film.
And of course it has hmm good Keanu Reeves.
We were so hopeing he would take a shower in the beginning of the film ~ oh well.

Thats how I felt. But I watched it a few more times....still, it was a mess. I did begin to find it really funny though. Its a great comedy.Well almost. After reading a little more about the tales it made a bit more sense but only a little. Any movie that can keep me thinking after I finished watching it is worth something

Our recent movies watched were "Revolver" and "LayerCake".
Both were pretty good and both were strange.
Get this our latest netflix movie which shall arrive tomorrow is:
Zardoz.
I'll let you all know how that one goes.
Wonder if it will be like Soylent Green.

The Bank Job is pretty good, and Jason Statham is surprisingly a good lead for it. And I know it isn't a movie, but Eddie Izzard's Unrepeatable show is worth renting (if you can find it).

Zardoz
We finally watched Zardoz last night.
All I have to say is that it's so intriguing and comical but yet you can't stop watching it to see how it ends.
"Zardoz: The gun is good.
Exterminators: The gun is good.
Zardoz: The penis is evil. The penis shoots seeds, and makes new life, and poisons the earth with a plague of men, as once it was. But the gun shoots death, and purifies the earth of the filth of brutals. Go forth and kill! "
We were like What? What did that thing say?
We had to rewind the dvd a bit to hear it again.
Sean Connery is the man! Don't you just love the outfit?
NT you have got to go get yourself a replica of that outfit. Can't you just see the swarms of women knocking down your door once you do?

Hm, I was interested in The Orphanage until I saw that Del Toro merely produced, rather than directed. Maybe I'll check it out though. ..As long as we're recommending movies, Hellboy 2 was amazing, especially in terms of all the physical artistic special effects.
