Another awful movie
I just stopped watching Ghost Rider 30 minutes into it.
The acting and story line was so horrible and everything about it so cliché and amateurish that I just couldn't bear it.
Gaaaaaaaaaaahhhhhhhhhh...

Yup, Ghost Rider is one of the more poorly made comic book movies.
It's right there at the bottom, along with Daredevil and The Hulk.
As odd as it sounds, I still think The Punisher is the best one to be made yet.

Geez, what comic book movies have you enjoyed?
If you say Daredevil, or The Hulk I might have to throw something at you, lol

Yeah Ghost Rider wasn't at all what I expected. I wanted another great movie like X-men or even Fantastic Four.
Daredevil sucked mainly because they chose Ben Afleck. Hulk was stupid too though I never liked the tv series either or the comic book.
Ghost rider would have been fairly decent if they hadn't chosen Nicolas Cage. He just can't act!
The spiderman movies I think are the best so far.
And I also loved Batman Begins with yummy Christian Bale.

X-Men: The Last Stand sucked for one reason and one reason only:
Brett Ratner.
He's the worst director only next to Uwe Boll.

I cant wait for Zack Snyders Wathmen to drop! When I read that graphic novel as I kid it twisted my noodle yankee doodle.
Worst ever? Yeesh, hard to pick. Superman 3? Tank Girl?
The new Fantastic Four looks bad to me. The silver surfer looks like he was produced on an Atari 800 computer. I loved that story from the old comic but dont see how it will make a good movie.
As for the best so far, Sin City, hands down town clown.

You mean The Watchmen? Yeah that was/is a freaky bizarre graphic novel. It's been so long since I've read it, but the red headed dude Rorschach was my favorite character.
Very twisted.
Yeah Superman 3 was bad, but Tank Girl was goofy but cute.
I think the new FF looks cool with the silver surfer.
Hey have any of you seen A Scanner Darkly with Keanu Reeves (another yummy morsel).
Now that movie was graphically awesome, but for me dragged on a little because Robert Downey Jr was in it. I hate his mumbling almost as much as Dustin Hoffmans.
This movie is just plain weird.

Batman Begins or XMEN 2 for my money. Haven't seen Ghost Rider, but it's Netflixed for some laughter. Cage CAN act when he's in a role like Raising Arizona or Matchstick Men. Silver Surfer does look like a bland Terminator 2 creature to me. Not a fan of the new Spidermans or Fantastic Fours. I'll tell you some movies I DID like lately:
The Last King of Scotland
Babel
Pan's Labyrinth
Oh, and skip The Fountain...

Hey my sister and I are about to watch Pans Labrinth tonight. I'll tell you what I think later on.
See NT, now you agree with us that Ghostrider sucked, sucked really bad like ass and dirt. My sister loves Raising Arizona and yet for some reason I have never seen it to this date. Course her ahole husband likes to quote from it all the time and I really hate him now so .... not sure if I feel like watching it.
My husband and I are currently watching an HBO series called Rome. It is very good so far. I highly recommend it.
Previously we watched Carnivale - and that was very very good too.
If you are a sleuth fan - I also recommend Sherlock Holmes with Jeremy Brett. We are also watching that series right now.
Jeremy Brett is Sherlock Holmes!!! I so love netflix.

Watch it now! You wont be sorry, its classic. I also recomend the Hudsucker Proxy. The most under-rated comedy ever. Im a huge Coen Bros fan, HUGE! I have all their stuff.

Pan's Labrynth was great. My wife and I watched, despite the fact that my wife thought it was going to going to be a horror flick. Was very impressed with how Del toro caputred the spainish civil wars that occurred during that period and the fact tha the little girl would go off to an imaginary world that was hard for the viewer to decern if it was real or child fantasy. The Captain character was a bastard. The scene with the two guys who were hunting for rabbits was rough.
Excellent flick.
Excellent flick.

I watched another Del Toro flick tonight which I highly recommend - The Devil's Backbone.
Also, Coen Bros. have a new one coming soon, too:

Whatever you do stay away from Fantastic 4: Rise of the Silver Surfer.
Corny as hell.
Interesting tidbit: The actor who suits up as the silver surfer is the same one that did both the Faun and the "eyes in the hands" monster in Pan's Labyrinth.

We watched that movie long ago, and it was pretty good and freaky with that watery kid.
Pans Labyrinth was really good. That captain needed to be tortured. That girl was very brave to be near all those disgusting things. I would have thrown the eyeballs away.
That is an interesting tidbit outbound.

Yeah, that was a fun movie. Still has a bit of that The Demolition Man vibe in that the whole final showdown becomes a corny moral lesson but overall it was a pretty fun movie.
Then again, I guess every Stallone movie is that way.

My favorite Stallone movie is Oscar.
Sophia: Now you fired the maid?
Snaps: No! She quit to marry Bruce Underwood!
Sophia: When did that happen?
Snaps: I don't know... somewhere between my vest and my pants.
Snaps: Whadda day! Both my girls are getting married!
Sophia: [looks at Snaps suspiciously] What do you mean, both?
Snaps: [embraces her, indicates Theresa] Sophia, my wife, meet Theresa, my daughter.
Sophia: If she's your daughter, who's her mother?
Roxanne: I am.
Sophia: [shouts] You had a child with the new maid?
Anthony Rossano: When I took over, your books were a mess.
Snaps: They don't sound like they're in no great shape now!
[to himself]
Snaps: Damn, a double-negative.
Snaps: [after stumbling over the classic elocution exercise, "Round the rough and rugged rocks the ragged rascal rudely ran."] Aw, it's no use, Doc. I'll never learn to talk good.
Dr. Thornton Poole: Do not despair, Mr. Provolon-e. We shall try a different tack.
[takes out a book and reads]
Dr. Thornton Poole: "Rocco the rum-runner rubbed out Rico the Rat with his Rosco for robbing his rum-running receipts."
Snaps: [repeats the sentence perfectly and enthusiastically]
Dr. Thornton Poole: You've got it!
Snaps: Well, yeah! You finally came up with something that made sense!
Makes you want to go rent it huh!! Wonderful movie.

Another bit to the tidbit: The same actor was also the fish guy in Hellboy. I actually enjoyed that movie. Granted abit over the top, but I liked it. Especially the cursing upper torso corpse.
I saw FF4 rise of the Silver Surfer. I have to agree. Not very good.
I also saw 1408, Decent but seemed to be a mesh of all of Steven Kings book mixed into one flick. John Cusak was good.
