What is the budget? The new Red camera for $17,000 is a great camera.....if you have the budget :)
My budget is really,*really* low like under 1000$ dollars low:) Thanks NT, do u know of a particular kind of panasonic or sony that is good for beginners?

I would try to find a camera with 3CCD's for better picture quality. Panasonic makes a couple that are under $1000 easily. I've read that Sony camcorders have better low light quality than other cameras. I haven't read any reviews on Panasonic cams.
Whatever you do, don't read this!

panasonic are good, you can be really impressed when you've got a lot of light at the quality, its just when its dark that let its down a bit. but for a little camera its got lots of important things for the picture quality like white wash etc
