Crazy Declicious commercial spots
So, we've done a couple radio spots for a new snowball stand in town called Crazy Delicious Snowballs. We're planning on doing commercials for both as well. They are both pretty silly. The first one is kind of Oooh Boyz and the monster truck version is basically making fun of really bad local commercials. It's a hot ass mess.

I really love the work you did on that-- and your doing advertisements got me wondering- How did you 'break in' to doing commercials and such for businesses and what suggestions would you have for others who want to do the same? Sorry for sounding like a reporter :-p

Thanks. I don't really avertise that I do commercials. It's really just word of mouth. I've done them for friends who own businesses and they tell others. Also, they run on TV and some people ask, you know. It's something that slowly builds because I'm not pounding the pavement with it. I'm doing the snowball stand one for free because I'm friends with the owners, and I kind of eat and drink whatever I want up at the cafe. :] I'm working for my meals!

Re: "Fair Trade." I agree, because the Good Karma food and drink is pretty awesome. However, no food or drink can be enough of an inspiration or incentive to create something this good. As far as any criticism of its artistic quality or its production values, I'll have to say...I'm the client, and I love it, so that's all that matters. We're lucky to have you, NT, in our midst!

I'm planning on doing a commercial for each - the monster truck version being absolutely horrible. The regular version should be interesting to see on local cable - makes me wish I had cable for a week.

I think they turned out well. I was contemplating putting up the three clips we used for the monster truck version and having a contest to see who could create the worst commercial. Maybe have an Oooh Boyz CD download as the prize. Just a thought. I don't know how many in here are capable of video editing.

Shhhweet! I like the Oooh Boyz version of course but get the satire of the Monster Truck version. This is the kind of stuff I need to get me by whilst waiting for the next genius movie.
I would be interested to know what kind of reactions you were getting from people on the street?
