Have you considered...?

Postby PsionicGenome » January 1st, 2006, 2:21 am

Have you guys at SP ever considered doing an extended version of "Thumb Club?" I've been watching it over and over and I think that it has great potential and could be made into a longer, funnier movie than it is. Not that it isn't good as it is, but if you extended it a bit and added a bit more comedy into it, it could be amazing.

Now, having said that, I'd like to quickly introduce myself, if you don't mind. =P My name's Joe Bryant and I am a jack of all trades, as I've dabbled in many fields. But, above all I am a writer and comedian. I think of myself as a great comedy writer, and am currently working on a series called "The Annoyance Project," which some have said, "...Will become the next Family Guy..." This, of course, means nothing, and I'm just trying to tell you guys up front that I'm not a 'noobie' or anything.

Well, basically what I wanted to say is that if you guys were to consider doing an extended version of "Thumb Club," I'd be willing to offer my services as a writer. And also, if you guys ever need any help in terms of writing, storyboarding, or audio manipulation, I'd be glad to help out.

Love your work, guys, keep it up.
-Joe-

I really haven't considered extending it. I don't really have a desire to, either. It was what it was, and I learned a lot from the project. I've gotten a lot of kudos for it, too. I still think it's been one of the better ideas I've had as far as the site is concerned. Thanks for the interest, though.

Ah, well, I understand. It was a really good concept. Much kudos from me. ^_^

Heh, I dunno what it is, but every time I watch it it's like a whole new experience. I know what's coming, and I know I shouldn't laugh cause I've seen it God knows how many times, but as soon as I see it again... Bam. It's like insta-funny. You guys don't lace your movies with anything... funny, do you...? Cause that's illegal. =P

Extending would be rather hard given that you would need to assemble the same actors, props, backgrounds, etc...all of which are probably hard to acquire.

The only thing NT could do if he wanted is a Re-Make. But he won't and he shouldn't...cause why mess with a good thing?

Yeah, I know, I figured that out right after I mentioned the idea. I dunno, I was just thinking about it and had a bunch of cool ideas of how it could've been a bit better, but thinking about it now, though, those ideas prolly would've made it worse. As N.T. said before, "It was what it was." And for me to ask him to change it at all was a bad call on my part. =P So, yeah, sorry.

How true! I mean, after watching Star Wars: A Lost Hope so many times, I've become somewhat jaded, if you know what I mean... It's still funny, and I'll laugh, but... It just isn't like the "first time" anymore. ;_; If only I could have that one moment forever. Oh, why?!

I can only hope for another movie to come out soon and replace the void in my heart. (*Nudge, nudge*.)

That is why you have commentary, making of's, and extras to fill in the gaps :D
