My new short film

Postby 333imacman » April 23rd, 2005, 11:16 pm

Hey, I'd appreciate it if you gave me ya'lls professional opinions on my new short film "Attack Of The Stalker." Located here: www.viproductions.web1000.com/shortfilms.html

Its a spoof of Signs, The Village, and Star Wars. Hope you enjoy :)

Alright, here is my constructive criticism on "Attack of the Stalker"

Comedy wise, it was pretty funny. Interesting choice of darthvader doll.

Filming wise, it was pretty good. Good angle's and everything.

Now, the story was a little odd.. didn't make too much sense to me, but it was still pretty creative.

You have a good imagination, keep going.

Not bad, a few tips though: Cut down on the intro credits, don.t go handheld so much, and tighten up the story some. All in all not bad.
What was the question?

Normally, I don't really do opening credits. But I was going for that "Signs" look. When using the handheld (steadicam actually), I was trying to go for a cheesy horry movie. As for the comedy, its somewhat of an inside joke with my youth group. Thanks for the input guys.

Free or paid hosting? How much you looking to spend? My host has all of those, plus some! It's pretty inexpensive. PM me and I'll get you the details.

That seems to be a prob right now. Try stopping the loading and then clicking refresh. It always does it for me.

Dreamhost is who I use and they have many different pricing levels. Mirroring one of the big hires files for NT and have had no issues yet. I also run about 5 other sites using this account.

it wasnt bad....it wasnt bad at all
its definatly a step up from the wheat films, keep at it, you are imrpoving

hint: try and lock the white balance on your camera, the basement shots were all warm and then when you went back upstairs everything was very bleached out and white, try and lock it at a set level that makes both look good, or make both look simmilar, it makes things flow more smoothly between shots of basment and upstairs
was he hot as in attractive, or hot as in baking at 450°?
