It looks like it might be cool but already I don't like the main actor. His voice is nowhere near that badass tone of 47's original game voice.

Well, the first choice to play The Hitman was Vin Diseal, but he couldn't due to his Hannibal the Conquerer project.
Jason Statham was the second choice, and he declined due to having several movies on his plate already.
So here you go. The best choices declined.

Meh, even both those guys wouldn't really be good for the role I think.
I've pretty much had it with those two.
They needed someone fresh who could pull off the 47 character flawlessly. Part of the whole appeal of the game is that character.

The best person would be a talented unknown actor. Mainly because of the type of character he would be playing. Put someone we all known in that role and it could ruin the movie just because of how much we know the actor.

What a fucking mess...
The whole love interest angle was completely unnecessary and absurdly played out.
We really have come to a point where computer games offer far more compelling narratives much better developed characters than movies.

NT, Ant, and I watched this a few nights ago. Short review --- Its shit is weak.
Timothy Olyphant was so wrong for the part that we all swore we could hear him actually saying to the other characters, "I'm wrong for this part," while he was killing them.

The one thing that annoyed the crap out of me was the completely unnecessary female element. In the games this is adequately filled in by the female voice who gives him the mission briefings. They only gave her a short cameo when she calls him substituting her voice with the robot voice in the briefings.
It felt like the Russian chick was only in the movie to show off her tits and to repeat the "he's a virgin" joke to the point that the viewer is yelling "I GET IT!" at the bloody screen.
They tried cramming a really weak and confusing conspiracy theory into that short a time span and forgot what the whole, already pretty damn well developed game character was about.
The fact that Olyphant looks and sounds like a younger Billy Bob Thornton didn't help matters either.

I pretty much agree with EK and OB. Sept i did find entertainment in it. It was one of those movies where you zone out and just watch the action, a non thinker, just some killing.

Eric, your review completely cracks me up. I'm sure I get more enjoyment from reading it than I would from that whole movie.
