There don't seem to be many posts on the topic of the scrumdelectatious Star Wars III gig since July of 2005. Not overly familiar with this site yet, however filtering from 'newest comments first' yields that date as the latest entry.

Maybe I've caught wind of this a bit late.

In any case, I want to show my admiration for what appears to be a hell of a lot of work. This is a fantastic combination of kamp and professionalism. In my opinion, it couldn't be perfekter.

Well done, and I beg you to let me be in your next feature. I'll bring snacks, I swear!

No, don't shake your head at me. Stop it!

I'm telling you, I'm worth the entry. Damn your pessimism!

Fine!!

Please?

Welcome, Jube. Thanks for the words. Wow, if I had a dollar for every time someone wanted to be in one of the movies, well, I'd have at least enough to buy a few miniDV tapes. What? They aren't cheap!

Thanks for the enthusiasm, man. Again, welcome.

NTB can I be in your movies? :D Just fly me in from Canada ;)

***Hands NT a dollar***

Seriously though, I would like to do it but I would probably be so bad as to bring everyone else DOWN in talent. I have so little artistic talent that drawing a straight line eludes me.

Alright NTB, I suppose I'll have to actually put forth some of my own effort, instead of riding your coattails. It's just so contrary to my usual apathetic approach to things, which I suppose I should give some thought to. Some time. Or whatever.

Still, can't blame a guy for wanting to be part of something great.

I'm excited to see your next piece of work!

the lost hope

Postby Kismette » September 26th, 2006, 7:28 am

My husband found a link to the lost hope on one of his D&D boards and of course had me watch it.

I think this little movie is hilarious. You all did a wonderful job. My favorite parts are where Padme says, "Other hand!" and Obi Wan's reaction to her first peeing on the stick, oh and when Darth says, "A boobie?"

So after viewing the little movie, I of course found your site and started watching the other little parodies. Thumb Club is also very funny and the Matrix one too is entertaining.

I do hope you find the time to do a parody of Conan or some other movie soon. Just keep them coming.

So what do you think of the re-release of the Enhanced versions of Star Wars with the Original movie as an extra on DVD? I had to buy all three movies yet again just so I can have the original movies - because we all know Han shot first!

Glad you liked Episode 3. Thanks for the compliments.

I've steered away from parodies for awhile. I'm not sure when I'll get back to them. I've been doing other things.

Not making the original SW movies anamorphic proves that this process of re-releasing movies is to suck everyone dry, and I refuse to be a part of it.

I didn't buy the newest re-release of the original trilogy. I have bought the original theatrical releases of the OT on VHS about 3 times, and have the Special Editions on VHS and DVD. When it looked like Lucas was never going to release the theatrical versions on DVD I finally broke down and bought a bootleg set off Ebay a couple of years ago. They were made from the same laserdisc release that Lucas ported HIS latest release directly off of. Lucas truly doesn't care about the original versions of these movies. He's said it over and over in interviews. To him, the Special Editions are the only true versions of the OT now. He's proven how little he cares by the fact that he merely took the old laserdisc prints and transfered them to DVD. I've read some reviews of the discs, and by all accounts the video doesn't even meet minimum standard DVD quality. Plus, it's non-anamorphic. PLUS they're not even offered as a separate release. You HAVE to buy the Special Editions with them all over again. It's just a shameless attempt to bilk even more money out of the fans. Don't get me wrong --- I love Star Wars, and I absolutely think the original versions should be preserved on a high-quality digital format. But I've purchased those three movies, in one form or another, about 5 times now. Lucas is going to really have to do right by the original versions to make me buy them again.

Eric found this and it's great. Someone actually took the effort to dub ALH in a different language. They did a pretty damn good job, and it's now funny all over again for different reasons. Kudos to them.

Ok so I set up this username a year ago and never posted until today... weird?

So I bet you can't guess my favorite line.... no? Well, I guess I'll just leave you in suspense.

HOWEVER--
Around our house the most-quoted lines are...

"no, no NO. no."
"Those bitches!" / "You ___ too ____, ASS!" / "___, ASS" (tie)
"clear as purple cray-on!"
"a boobie?"

German Sub

Postby UnMO » December 15th, 2006, 3:32 pm

Hey guys N.t. bullock mentioned that i should post my GERMAN subed-version of the Parody here. So here it is:

*click me*

I was bored the other day and watched the video like the 100th time. By knowing to many people who don't really understand everything or some jokes i decided to create a Subed-version.

BTW: This is my second try to sub something, so i don't believe it's really good, anyway i admit i'm satisfied ;) ... so how du you like it?

Sorry guys I'm pretty new here. Anyways I really enjoyed the film N.T. Bullock and at the risk of sounding like a sychophant; I envy you guys! I also thought you portrayed Anakin really well. He was annoying but in a good way, kind of like Napoleon Dynamite crossed with Percy Wetmore (from the Green Mile). I wish I could make something like this, but if your interested my first movie will be on Youtube in about 6 weeks. You can be the judge :).

Not sure if you know this or not, but I live in Maryland, and the local news station did a story on A Lost Hope when it first came out, which is how I found this place.

Wow. Just randomly ran across someone who posted A Lost Hope on YouTube that's had 1.5 million hits. I guess there's really no telling how many million views the video has gotten over the years!

Re: Episode 3 Parody FEEDBACK

Postby Privateer454 » October 11th, 2010, 9:34 am

Just had to finally register and drop a line to say thanks for all the laughs. I've been enjoying A Lost Hope since '05 and I finally showed it to my now 4 1/2 y.o. old SW fanatic (though I did skip through the preggers test ;). Well, now I get to enjoy the added hilarity of having him quote lines from the movie like I do, with "I'll show you a Poo-Poo head" as he ignites his toy lightsaber leading the way, but his Anakin/Emperor "Why don't we slip you into something more comfortable." - "Comfortable would be good." exchange done in "character" are hilarious. Although, on the bad parent side of things, I did get a "you're swinging too hard..ass", once (though it too was quite funny).

Thanks again for all the fun and laughs, as A Lost Hope crosses generations and from father to son. "I am your baby's daddy..."

Privateer454, your post really made me smile. We've now got little fans of "A Lost Hope" who weren't even alive yet when we made it. That's wild. Like N.T. said, it's always great to hear from people who have gotten some laughs from the silly nonsense we come up with. Dare I say I feel a little "honored" that you've passed us down to your own son.

You might want to keep the little fella away from the re-dubs for a few years, though... ;)

Thanks for taking the time to register and drop a line. It's definitely appreciated.
