Episode 3 Parody FEEDBACK
Wow. A friend of me gave me the link to this site, and after watching the SWE3 trailer, I was impressed. One of the part I like the most is the one with Jar Jar saying: "Really?! Me Sir?!" His voice is so funny! Also, I would like to say that Jeromy Spiers, acting Obi-Wan does a wonderful job acting is role, honestly. So, to this masterpiece, I say: Bravo!

I posted my praise before, but I came back because I remebered my one negative comment,
I dont like when Anakins face turns red with the steam sound when he learns of obiwans 'betrayal' .
I tried envisioning the scene without it and I can probably guess that it 'needed something' to top it off. I'm just not sure it was the right thing to add. Maybe a more physical action on anakins part? I always thought it would be funny to see a jedi lash out with the force accidentally and knock something over, or break something :) Not really saying that would fit either.....
I think it bothers me since it doesn't really fit consistently with the rest of the movie; it is a very cartoony element. The rest of the movie seems to rely on actor personalities and poking at the starwars clichés,
Anyways you know how much I liked it; I am just tryring to give some constructive criticism since I have alot of faith in what you can continue to acheive.

Yeah, Eric and I would agree that it's one of those elements that might not quite fit, but in our defense we thought that him actually being swayed by a crayon drawing warranted something even more ridiculous. It is cartoonish because it's hard for me to accept his anger as something serious now. You're not the only one who didn't care for it. I don't personally laugh at that element, but I like the idea.

Plus.... if you've seen The Phantom Menace, you know that Lucas might as well have had steam shoot out of somebody's ears in that thing because 99% of everything Jar Jar Binks did was straight out of a cartoon anyway.

One more thing...the drinking element.
I know that you had discussed Obi-Wan's drinking before, but I thought you had included it for another reason. I recall in Episode 2 that Anakin is looking for the bounty hunter in the bar and he asks what Obi Wan is doing.
Obi Wan tells Anakin pointedly that he's going to get a drink. I thought you may have obliquely referred to that...especially considering the seriousness of the situation, Obi Wan still wants a drink, but I guess it was stretching it a bit far.
It looks like Obi Wan's drinking days continue in Star Wars: Episode 4. Let's face it...the alcholic looks for ANY excuse to get into a bar. "Oh most of the best freighter pilots are here..." UH-HUH.
SURE, OBEE. "I told you not to call me that anymore, ass!"

Kudos!
I feel obligated to let the fine folks at SP know how much I enjoy "A Lost Hope". This will be my first and last post as I just want to give some much deserved homage, so try and bear with all the rambling.
Since I don't have any money to send to pay you back for the countless minutes (probably 100 or so) I've spent laughing. (And I'd like to apologize for telling all my friends how hilarious the movie is and sending them to your site which costs you talented people evermore bucks in hosting fees.)
My Favorite Moments:
1) "Those bitches!"
Loved all of the Anakin acting. Thank you for creating a obnoxious brat of a Jedi that we can all be proud of.
2) "Well, you are quite the poopoo head."
Functional alcoholic Obi-wan cracks me up in every scene. I love the "clearly drunk" Obi-Wan in the outtakes.
3) "I'm the most powerful Jedi ever!"
Hrm, maybe I'm just smitten with N. T...
Anyways.
I think the EPT scene was a little long and slowed the pacing some.
There. I was critical. Now back to ass-kissing.
Your comedic timing is commendable, the CG is excellent, the Lightsabers make all the proper lights and cool noises and I can say without reservation that this is most definitely the funniest Star Wars parody in all of creation.
You guys (and gals) rock.

The acting was very good also. Everyone in it did a smashing good job with their scenes. The EPT scene was dead on IMHO. It served as a good breaking point and helped the pacing of the film over all.
The voice over was really well done too. I hate watching films where the voice over is noticeable. I couldn't tell it a bit. If I had not watched the 'making of' I never would have even known it.

I wonder who that kid really is and does he know he's all over the net. Someone needs to do a story on that poor little fellow.

I read about the kid some time ago.
I think he's actually Canadian. That kid already had some serious self-image problems. After some of his classmates found that video in the school's video lab and released it on the net you can imagine how worse it got.

It was something like he recorded 2 copies of the tape unknowingly, and so his friends found the second tape or something like that. On the actual website there are loads of edited versions of it like "Matrix" and "Tetris" etc, people really get a kick out of it it seems!

He was in the newspapers in Holland a few years ago. His name was Gislain or something. When his friends realised the magnitude of their "broadcast", they felt really sorry for the guy. They actually raised a fund to buy him an I-pod or some hardware(which in those times must have been state of the art stuff).
t is said that the fund collected thousands of dollars... :P

I made up a quick desktop and posted it to the SWE3 page. Also, look for an extended blooper reel and a higher quality version of "Lost Hope" to hit the site in early May.

Watched the DVD finally on the tube. The wife wanted to see it. She enjoyed it as much as I and we really loved the bloopers. I think we were laughing as hard as you guys were and have no clue why we were laughing most of the time. :)

Only first saw this a week ago and LOVE it. That guy who plays Anakin was great! Loved his exageratted delivery. "It's right here as clear as purple crayon!" That dude should be famous.

NT Bullocks brother got alot of good lines in Lost Hope. He must have put some money into it.
If he put more money into it he could have played Armidaala too.
